Aptana Studio is a comprehensive development environment based Eclipse that allows you to create applications for Web 2.0 while working with virtually any programming language.

It integrates server technology, code support and debugging for PHP, Ruby, Railway, Python and Jamar (a free-source AJAX server generated by Aptana). It provides code support and syntax highlighting for HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Aptana Studio supports the main AJAX libraries, including: query, scripts.co.uk, dojo, prototype, ext., YUI, and Aflac. It is a DOM inspector and FTP, SFTP, and FTPS clients as well as Cloud, computational hosting service provided by Aptana.

You can use this environment to develop for platforms like iPhone, Adobe, and Nokia. It is also compatible with CVS and SVN repositories. Download it as a plugin for Eclipse, or use it as an independent program.
