DivFix
DivFix is a multiplatform app capable of restoring corrupted AVI and DivX files by reconstructing the streams that make up each one.
You can also use it to preview AVI files that are being downloaded via ed2k, torrent, FTP, or web download, even if they don't have the part belonging to the index.
If you don't want to repair a file directly, DivFix can simply check for all existing errors. The Strip Index option allows you to eliminate the index, but you want to be careful with this option: the file then won't be recognized by the majority of multimedia players.

The program inclues a toolbar for Internet Explorer whose installation is optional.
In addition to the Standard version, an Advanced version exists where you can encode any file that you have created or created in a particular format.
