If you are looking for a simple and effective download manager, we recommend you give WxDownload a try quickly.
This open source program combines with Mozilla Firefox via the FlashGot extension and sets it to be that it becomes the default download client of your browser.
WxDownload speeds up your downloads to split most of your available bandwidth into different parts, so that it can be downloaded at different times at different times and organized later.
For downloaded files WxDownload comes with its own verification system and is compatible with FTP servers. It can connect to private servers using a corresponding password.
